Indian pacer Mohammed Siraj is known for his aggressive style. After a heated exchange with Marnus Labuschagne on Day 1, Siraj gave Travis Head a fiery send-off in the second session of Day 2 of pink-ball Test at Adelaide Oval. Head who scored the fastest century in pink-ball Test history was dismissed by a yorker from Siraj. After dismissing him, Siraj had a few words to say and signalled him to leave the ground. Head did not look pleased and gave responded to Siraj as he turned back to walk to the dressing room. 

Before taking his wicket, Head had hit Siraj for a four and a six in his first over with the new ball. After Head's dismissal, Siraj was booed by the Australian crowd whenever he started his run up or the ball went to him while fielding. He smiled as well with his teammates reacting to the boos. 

Head scored 140 runs from 141 deliveries. His knock featured 17 fours and four sixes. This was his third century in Day/Night Tests and third in Adelaide as well.

Head dropped twice

Earlier, Siraj dropped Head's catch in the 68th over of the innings. Head went for a big shot against Ravichandran Ashwin but the ball balooned up in the air. Siraj ran back from mid-on, dived but could not hang on to the ball. The southpaw was batting on 76 when his catch was dropped. In the next over, he had another reprieve. He edged one off Harshit Rana but Rishabh Pant did not dive to his left to take the catch and the ball went for a boundary.

Big lead for Australia

The 30-year-old made India pay for the dropped catches and changed the game within two sessions. At the end of the second session, Australia were 332/8 with a lead of over 150 in the bag. Head changed the game within two sessions as he hit Indian pacers off the back foot. He brought out the slog sweep against off-spinner Ashwin.
