Pant, through his Instagram story made his intentions clear for the all-important five-match Test series against Australia. Pant highlighted that true strength lies in overcoming adversity. Pant is excited to return to Australia, where he has previously delivered some memorable performances. This will be his first overseas Test tour since recovering from a serious car accident in 2022. The talented wicket-keeper-batter is eager to make a significant impact and replicate his past successes on Australian soil.

Team India opted for a relaxed day with an optional practice session ahead of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-2025 opener in Perth on November 22. However, Rishabh Pant bucked the trend, choosing to put in the hard yards at the Optus Stadium in Perth.
The talented wicketkeeper-batsman worked diligently with throwdown specialists Nuwan Seneviratne and Raghu, focusing on adapting to the pace and bounce of Australian pitches. Pant's dedication to his craft was evident, as he aimed to be fully prepared for the challenging conditions of the first Test.

With the kind of track record Pant has against Australia in Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he will pose a big threat to the Pat Cummins' side. However, Australia has a plan in place to tackle 'Pant' challenge. Australia's star pacer Josh Hazlewood revealed Australia's strategy for dealing with the aggressive batting style of Rishabh Pant. He stressed on the need for a flexible approach to counter such explosive players.
"Against such batters, you need Plan B and C if things go south. It is important to have different plans. We also have players like Travis Head and Mitch Marsh who can take the game away," Hazlewood said ahead of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-2025 opener in Perth on November 22.
