Harry Brook breaks Marnus Labuschagne's massive record with fiery hundred against India in Oval Test

England batter Harry Brook scored a fantastic century against India in the fifth and final Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. The 26-year-old moved into triple figures after facing just 91 deliveries, taking the hosts very close to the target of 374 set for them by the Men in Blue.

Brook scored 14 boundaries and 2 maximums in his fiery inning of 111 runs from 98 deliveries. Despite the Three Lions eventually losing the match by a slender 6-run margin, the batter wrapped up the series in impressive fashion and finished with 481 runs under his name in 9 innings.

The fiery hundred at The Oval saw Brook break Marnus Labuschagne's record and become the youngest batter to score 10 Test centuries among players who debuted after 2000. The 26-year-old has 2820 runs under his belt from 30 Tests, including 10 centuries and 13 half-centuries.

Brook scored two centuries and half-centuries each in the five-match series against India and was one of his side's most important players. His previous hundred came in the second Test which was held at Edgbaston. The batter played a stunning knock of 158 during England's first inning and helped them in setting up a massive total of 407 on the board.

Brook was chosen as England's Player of the Series by India head coach Gautam Gambhir. He was the second-highest run-scorer for the Three Lions in the seriers only behind Joe Root, who finished the assignment with 537 runs under his name.
