A total of 7,187 runs were scored in the India-England Test series — the second-highest run aggregate in Test history. The record stands at 7,221 runs, scored during the 1993 Ashes.

The series featured 21 centuries, the joint-highest number of hundreds in a Test series. Notable century-makers included Shubman Gill, Joe Root, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, Harry Brook, Ben Duckett, Jamie Smith, Ben Stokes, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ollie Pope, and Washington Sundar.

Teams crossed the 300-run mark 14 times, setting a new record for a Test series. India accounted for eight of those totals — the joint-highest by any team in a single series, matching the record held by both Australia and England. No other team has managed more than six such scores in a series.

India set a new record for the most individual 50+ scores in a Test series, with 28 such scores. England bettered this slightly with 32. India’s six-run win at The Oval also marked their narrowest victory margin in Test history.

This was the first time India have won the fifth Test of a series away from home. Additionally, England have not won a Test series against India since 2018, when they claimed a 4-1 victory.

A record nine batters scored over 400 runs in the series, the most ever in a single Test series.
