Mohammed Siraj picked up 23 wickets in Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025.

Mohammed Siraj is currently featuring in India vs West Indies Test series.

India's star all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja played a crucial role for Shubman Gill-led India in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025 against England, scoring 516 runs in five Test outings, including one century and five half-centuries with a highest score of unbeaten 102 runs. He also picked up seven wickets, including a seven-wicket haul. Jadeja's all-round performance helped India to end the series in a 2-2 draw.

Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammed Siraj's knock in Lord's Test

Jadeja's one of the most memorable knocks came during the third Test match at the iconic Lord's Stadium in London, during the second innings. Jadeja tried to shift the momentum of the game alongside Mohammed Siraj, but an unfortunate dismissal ended Siraj’s stay and India’s innings, handing England the match. However, Siraj was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets in two innings.

Siraj came to bat alongside Ravindra Jadeja, who completed his half-century in a gritty 10th-wicket partnership which was past the tea break on Day 5, giving hope to the visitors in their 193-run chase.

Mohammed Siraj's dismissal in the Lord's Test

However, their stand ended dramatically as a Shoaib Bashir's delivery edged off Siraj's bat and rolled onto the stumps, leaving India all out for 170, 22 runs short and handing England a dramatic win.

"It is still shocking to me. I don’t know how it happened. If you see carefully, while the ball is travelling towards the stumps, a small pebble comes in the way and the ball bounces up off it, reaches the stumps to just about hit and a bail drops. That moment keeps popping on Insta reels. When I see those reels, I get emotional. We had almost lost that match, but we were back in the Test. I was feeling so comfortable, there was no way I felt I could get out. I got hit by a ball from Jofra Archer, but I was fine and felt I was not going to get out. However, the almighty had some other plans" Mohammed Siraj told Sports Tak.

India vs England Lord's Test

The five-day match was a great example of how exciting Test cricket can be. England started the final day strong, with India struggling at 58 for 4. Their pacers turned up the pressure, and by lunchtime, India had already lost eight wickets.

Ravindra Jadeja showed some fight, and the lower order tried to hang in there, but it wasn’t enough. When Mohammed Siraj was dismissed in the 75th over, England knew the job was done, and the celebrations began.

Ben Stokes and Jofra Archer were the pick of the bowlers with three wickets each. Brydon Carse also chipped in with two important ones, helping England wrap up a memorable win.
