In a column written by him in Cricinfo, Former South Africa player Daryl Cullinan, who played 70 Tests and 138 games in ODI cricket, has expressed his opinion on the rising young opener, saying that he should cherish his childhood before he plays international cricket for India. Cullinan feels that the teenage sensation prodigy is still growing as a player and as an individual, and warned that the constant attention from the media, fans, and public scrutiny, could put unnecessary baggage on him at a tender age.

“In my view he should be at home preparing for his exams, playing gully cricket with his mates, and being a young boy while he still has the chance. That does not mean ignoring his talent. It means understanding that the talent will only be truly served if the person carrying it is allowed to grow whole," wrote Cullinan.

Vaibhav Sooryavanshi going berserk in net sessions

Fans expect that Vaibhav can make international debut in the first T20I against the Three Lions, the hopes were fueled with a latest glimpse of the 15-year-old's batting practice in the build-up to the fist game was shared online by the broadcaster. In that video, Vaibhav could be seen hitting aggressive shots with absolute fine touch.
