India endured another loss in the fifth and final T20I against England on Saturday, June 11 at the Ageas Bowl in West End. The Men in Blue could not chase a massive total of 258 runs in the second innings, eventually losing the game by 56 runs. Notably, India's new speedster Prince Yadav equalled an unwanted record in India's horrible series loss.
Underwhelming start for Prince Yadav in T20Is
The young pacer made his debut in the T20I series against Ireland, has played four games so far and has endured defeats in all of them. Prior to Prince, Ambati Rayudu had also faced losses in each of his initial four outings for India in T20Is.

Prince kicked off his international career with a narrow one-run loss against Ireland. He retained his place in the final three T20Is against England, but India suffered big losses in each outing, losing by 125 runs, nine wickets and 56 runs respectively.

Prince Yadav received his maiden India call-up in June after delivering fantastic performance in the IPL 2026 while representing Lucknow Super Giants (LSG). Interestingly, the 24-year-old pacer has witnessed a mixed start to his international career. The right-arm pacer has managed to take five wickets in first four T20I games, with three of those scalps coming on debut against Ireland.
Prince has completed his quota of four overs in three of those games, returning figures that saw him concede 22, 30 and 60 runs respectively. The only time he did not complete his full quota, appeared in the fourth T20I.
Challenging times for Shreyas Iyer
There were a lot of expectations from Shreyas Iyer, as he was in great touch as a captain, but since taking over the leadership role of the Indian team, the star batter has struggled to showcase his tactical brilliance. After losing the fifth T20I, the star Mumbai based player is yet to win a single game as India skipper.
