Virat Kohli has once again got the cricketing world talking after a video of him training with former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar surfaced on social media ahead of the upcoming ODI series against England.

The veteran batter, who is expected to return to international cricket later this month, was recently named in India's squad for the three-match series, although his participation remains subject to fitness clearance. With anticipation building around his comeback, the latest training footage has only added to the excitement among fans.

The viral clip shows Kohli arriving at the training venue before being welcomed by Bangar. The two were later seen engaged in lengthy discussions in the middle of the ground as the former India batting coach oversaw an extended practice session.

According to reports, Kohli has been working closely with Bangar during a specialised training block in Mumbai and Alibaug, with the sessions primarily focused on refining technical aspects of his batting ahead of the England assignment.

The duo shares a long-standing professional relationship, with Bangar serving as India's batting coach between 2014 and 2019—a period that coincided with some of the finest years of Virat Kohli's international career.

The training video quickly gained traction across social media, with fans expressing excitement over the possibility of watching the batting great return to action in Indian colours once again.

England ODIs set to mark Kohli's international return

The upcoming England ODI series is expected to be Kohli's first international assignment since India's triumphant Champions Trophy campaign earlier this year. The series is also likely to see Rohit Sharma return to action, with both senior stars now focusing exclusively on the 50-over format following their retirements from Tests and T20Is.

Beginning on July 14, the three-match series is expected to play a significant role in India's preparations for the 2027 ODI World Cup, making the return of experienced campaigners like Virat Kohli all the more crucial.
