Highlights:

Tilak Varma hits century in the 4th T20I vs SA.

Sanju Samson hit a century as well.

Star Indian batter Tikak Varma played a knock that very much cemented his place in India's T20I team as he emulated a rare feat that only four other players had done. He became the fifth player overall and the second Indian after Sanju Samson to hit two consecutive centuries in the T20I format with this ton during the fourth T20I between the Indian cricket team and South Africa which is being played at the Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg, on November 15. In the current series, Tilak had the opportunity to bat ahead of Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav, and he made sure to make the most of it.

Tilak smashed the second-fastest Indian century in T20 Internationals as he reached the three-figure milestone in 41 balls. Rohit Sharma's 35-ball century against Sri Lanka in 2019 puts him at the top of the list. In a bilateral T20I series, Tilak became the second Indian player to reach two hundred. Sanju Samson, who has two hundred in the four-match series, became the first Indian to reach that milestone just before Tilak did. On their way to reaching their respective hundreds, the explosive duo of Samson and Tilak continued to set records while wreaking havoc.

Sanju and Tilak's rarest record

This was the first time that two batters have smashed individual hundreds in a T20I match between two Full Member sides and the third overall.

Both of their tons helped India post 283/1 against South Africa, which is Team India's second-highest score in T20Is and the fifth-highest overall in the history of cricket. They also joined an unbeaten 210-run partnership. Chasing this down is next to an impossible task but Proteas have some big heavy-hitters of their own and they will try to make this possible.
