India will lock horns against Zimbabwe in the first T20I of the three-game series on Thursday, July 22 at the Harare Sports Club. Ahead of the first game, India's teenage sensation, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has opened up on the recent struggles faced by the Indian team, as they are coming after two back-to-back T20I series losses against Ireland and England respectively.

While opening up on the recent challenges faced by the Indian team, the teenage sensation said that it's a part and parcel of the sport and it will keep happening in the future as well, but the most important thing is to keep following the process to bring the best results for the team.

"Yes, there have been several ups and down in the last four months; it’s part of cricket it will keep happening but I have to follow the process and give my 100 per cent for the team," said Vaibhav to BCCI.
On being questioned about how he is going to adapt to Zimbabwe's pitch and conditions, Vaibhav replied by saying that he has a fair idea about the conditions, as he played the U19 World Cup over there and found immense success with the bat.
“The pitches and the conditions here, I’ve got a fair idea about them when I last played here during the U-19 World Cup. So, I will try what all I gathered during that tournament to apply those learnings during the matches now and do well, added Vaibhav.
How did Vaibhav play in maiden international series?
Vaibhav got the chance to make his international devut in the recently concluded five game T20I series against England, where India endured a humiliating 0-4 loss, and became the country's youngest debutant at the age of 15-years and 100 days old, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar's long-standing record.
After making his debut for India in the second T20I at Old Trafford, Vaibhav failed to make an impact with the bat, as he registered modest scores of 14, 13, and 15 in three outings. Throughout the series, Vaibhav was targeted with aggressive short-pitch deliveries from bowlers like Jofra Archer.
