KL Rahul continues to make strong case for World Cup
In the match against the Rajasthan Royals, KL Rahul played a stupendous knock and scored a half-century. The stylish right-handed batter scored 76 runs off 48 balls with the help of eight fours and two sixes. Rahul batted with a strike rate of 158.33 despite LSG losing early wickets and looking for solidity in the middle overs from their skipper.
Talking about Rahul's returns with the bat in the ongoing season of the cash-rich tournament, the stylish batter has been the primary run-getter for his franchise. Rahul has scored 378 runs in nine matches at a strike rate of 144.27. The elegant batter is averaging 42 with the bat while he has smashed 34 fours and 14 sixes.
Rahul has done his job when it comes to making a case for selection in the Indian squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup. Having said that, Rahul seems to be behind in the pecking order as Rishabh Pant and Sanju Samson emerging at the prime contenders for the wicketkeeper-batter's spot.
