Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) big-money signing Mitchell Starc finally put his name in the wicket's column in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL). After going wicketless in the opening two matches of the campaign, Starc bagged two wickets against the Delhi Capitals on April 3 (Wednesday). The left-arm pacer bowled three fours on the night and bagged two wickets while conceding 25 runs in the process.
It has been a slow start for Starc in the ongoing edition of the cash-rich tournament and cricket fans have been noticing it even more because he is the most costly player in IPL history. In the mini-auction last year, KKR forked out a whopping sum of Rs 24.75 crore to secure Starc's services and ahead of the season, the franchise's mentor Gautam Gambhir had leveled the Aussie paceman as the 'X-factor' of the team.

Starc opened up on his slow start to the season and affirmed that as long as the team in winning, personal records don't matter that much.
"Not changing too much (on what worked against DC). In T20s, you get some dropped chances and some edges and they don't go your way. But we are 3-0 and that's what it is all about," Starc told the broadcaster after the game, as quoted by ESPNcricinfo.
"Nothing really as I said before (on being the Biggest price tag and struggling with wickets early on). Games come thick and fast. It is T20 cricket, it can get brutal. You take a bit of luck here and there. We are 3-0, been clinical with the bat, so personal things aside, the team is going fantastic," he added.
KKR thump DC in Visakhapatnam
The Knight Riders annihilated the Capitals in Visakhapatnam on Wednesday. After registering the second-highest score in IPL history (272/7 in overs), KKR bowled out DC for 166 runs in 17.2 overs. As a result, the Knight Riders won the match by a massive margin of 106 runs and jumped to the top of the points table .
