IPL 2024 Orange Cap: Following the high-scoring match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Bengaluru on April 15, RCB's captain Faf Du Plessis has broken into the top ten contenders of the coveted Orange Cap after scoring a fifty, while wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik vaulted into contention with a blazing 83 off 35 balls. Meanwhile, batting maestro Virat Kohli continues to lead the pack, proudly donning the Orange Cap. In the same match, SRH's explosive opener Travis Head took a massive leap in the standings by scoring his first IPL century, placing him firmly in the Orange Cap race. His teammate, wicket-keeper and formidable batter Heinrich Klaasen, also made a strong case for himself with a quickfire 67 off 31 balls. Mumbai Indians former captain Rohit Sharma, having recently scored a century, holds the fourth position in the standings. Rajasthan Royals' batters Riyan Parag and Sanju Samson are in close pursuit, occupying the second and third positions respectively, hot on heels with Virat Kohli.

    8. Travis Head (SRH) makes a grand entry into the top ten with a phenomenal century (102 runs off 41 balls) against RCB. He boasts a blistering strike rate of 199.15 with 235 runs in five matches.
    9. RCB skipper Faf Du Plessis overcame a slow start with back-to-back fifties, securing his place in the top ten with 232 runs from seven matches at a strike rate of 154.66.
