The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 is all set to begin on March 22. The opening match of the cash-rich league will be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai.

 

Pat Cummins-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will begin their campaign against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on March 23 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. After their season-starter, SRH team will head off to Hyderabad to take on Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 27, followed by a clash with Gujarat Titans (GT) on March 31 in Ahmedabad. As per the initial schedule, their fourth and final match will be against CSK in Hyderabad on April 5. 

 

Here is the full squad and list of players bought at the auction by the Hyderabad-based franchise. The SRH squad's strength is 25 which consists of eight overseas players.

SRH won IPL title in 2016

 

The SRH team bagged the IPL title in 2016 after beating RCB by eight runs at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. However, SRH finished as runners-up against the defending champions CSK in 2018.

 

Australia's World Cup-winning captain Cummins will lead SRH during the IPL 2024. He succeeded South Africa's Aiden Markram, who led the side in 2023.
