Delhi Capitals (DC) opener Prithvi Shaw shared a message on social media on the occasion of his father's birthday, where fans can see the youngster travelling with his kit on his father's bike -- a Yamaha Libero -- and the next image was of them standing in front of the BMW that 6-Series that Shaw had bought last year.

Shaw was admitted to the hospital midway through the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season but was recently discharged after being treated for typhoid. In his absence, DC tried Srikar Bharat as an opener alongside David Warner, but that move did not work for the Capitals.

When DC played Punjab Kings (PBKS) on Monday, the side brought Sarfaraz Khan to open for them, and the 24-year-old batter responded with a 16-ball 32 after Australian star David Warner was dismissed for a golden duck.

"I think he's 50/50. We'll know in a few days' time," Rishabh Pant told Star Sports. This is the first time that Delhi have won back-to-back matches in the ongoing season.

Their win came thanks to the heroics of another Aussie in all-rounder Mitchell Marsh, who scored 63 runs. Other stars on the night for Delhi were Shardul Thakur (4 for 36), Axar Patel (2 for 14) and Kuldeep Yadav (2 for 14). They displaced Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) to move to the fourth spot, and need just a win as well as other results to go in their favour to secure a place in the top four.

Rishabh Pant said after the game that he was happy that his team put a stop to their cycle of winning one match and then losing the next. "Playing throughout the tournament we have been losing one game and winning one game. That's something we wanted to change as a team and we got it," he said.

Delhi take on the Mumbai Indians (MI) in their final match of the league stage on Saturday, May 21. Five-time champions Mumbai were the first team to be knocked out of the playoffs race but they have won three out of their last five matches and could be party spoilers. MI had knocked defending champions Chennai Super Kings with a convincing five-wicket victory on Thursday.
