IPL 2022 Points Table: KKR slump to 4th spot; know SRH's standing post hat-trick of wins

Rahul Tripathi and Aiden Markram’s effortless batting display along with the pacers magnificent show formed the cornerstone of Sunrisers Hyderbad's comfortable seven-wicket victory over Kolkata Knight Riders in their IPL match here on Friday.


The SRH pace unit comprising the likes of T Natarajan (3/37), Umran Malik (2/27), Marco Jansen (1/26) and Bhuvneshwar Kumar (1/37) restricted KKR for 175 for 8.


Tripathi, who smashed 71 off 37, and Aiden Markram (68 not out of 36) then produced hostile knocks to take SRH to their third successive win with 13 balls to spare For KKR, Nitish Rana scored 54 while Andre Russell was unbeaten on 49.


SRH now have three wins from five games while it was KKR's third loss in six games.

Hardik Pandya's Gujarat Titans continue to grab pole position in the points table, with eight points from five matches. Orange Cap

The high-profile Rajasthan Royals's opener Jos Buttler with a total of 272 runs consolidated his place on top of the Orange Cap standings after scoring 54 runs against Gujarat Titans. Meanwhile, GT skipper with his all-round show spurred to second in the standings with 228 runs while Shivam Dube came down to third. On fourth is Shubman Gill (200), who has been in great form this season, followed by RR's Shimron Hetmyer (197) on fifth.


Purple Cap

Yuzvendra Chahal is the new holder of the Purple Cap with a total of 11 wickets in four matches while KKR's Umesh Yadav slipped down one spot after just one wicket against DC as he has snared ten wickets so far in the tournament. DC chinaman bowler Kuldeep Yadav is currently in third place with 10 wickets in four matches following his 4/35 against KKR.
