Rajasthan Royals (RR) piled the pressure on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) after securing a 24-run victory over their opponents during their Indian Premier League (IPL) match at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Sunday, May 15. It was a closely fought affair between the two sides, but the RR bowlers rose to the occasion while defending a score of 178 runs. They kept the LSG batters at bay and restricted them to just 154 runs in 20 overs.
It was an important win in the race for the playoffs as well, with RR moving to second place ahead of LSG. They have 16 points but a better Net Run Rate did them wonders.
Meanwhile, a win for Gujarat Titans (GT) over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) ensured that the Titans will finish in the top two of the points table, a brilliant achievement for the new IPL entrants. They beat Chennai by seven wickets in a match that showcased their batting and bowling abilities.
