Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is scheduled to start from March 22, where the defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the tournament's opener clash at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

Virat Kohli needs 50+ scores to break  David Warner’s all-time IPL record. The former Australia opener holds the record of 50+ scores in IPL history (66). Kohli will look to break this record in the upcoming edition of the tournament. 

Most outfield catches in IPL

Kohli is just five catches away to surpass his former RCB teammate  AB de Villiers’ record for most outfield catches (118) in IPL history. Kohli took eight catches last year, putting him within touching distance of the record.

Kohli has smashed 977 boundaries (705 fours & 272 sixes) in his Indian Premier League career so far. The right handed batter just need 23 boundaries to touch the 1000 mark. 

Only Indian to score 13000 T20 runs

Kohli has already announced his retirement from T20Is but he is on the verge of becoming the first Indian batter to score 13000 T20 runs. He needs 293 runs to complete this milestone.
