Ravichandran Ashwin to Axar Patel: Spinners who picked most wickets in IPL during powerplay

Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is scheduled to start from March 22. Defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders will take Royal Challengers Bengaluru for the tournament's opener. Here are the spinners who picked the most wickets in IPL powerplay. 

Ravichandran Ashwin

Ravichandran Ashwin tops the tally as the veteran spinner picked 49 wickets while bowling in IPL powerplay. The veteran star will be seen featuring alongside MS Dhoni in IPL 2025. 

Harbhajan Singh

Former India star Harbhajan Singh comes second in the list with 30 wickets in powerplay. He played 163 IPL matches and picked up 150 wickets. Harbhajan played his last IPL in 2021. 

Sunil Narine

Veteran West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine also comes in the list with 27 wickets in powerplay. He represented Kolkata Knight Riders till his IPL debut and the star will look to dominate again in IPL 2025.
 

Piyush Chawla

Veteran star Piyush Chawla also comes in the tally with 21 scalps in Indian Premier League powerplay. Chawla has played 192 IPL matches and picked 192 wickets. 

Shakib Al Hasan

Bangladesh veteran star Shakib Al Hasan picked 18 wickets in IPL powerplay. He played 71 IPL matches and picked up 63 wickets. 

Yuzvendra Chahal

Yuzvendra Chahal is the most successful spinner in IPL history he picked up 205 wickets in 160 IPL matches. Chahal has picked up 17 wickets while bowling in powerplay

Axar Patel

Axar Patel also comes in the tally as he picked 17 wickets in IPL powerplay. The star all-rounder will now be seen leading Delhi Capitals (DC) in IPL 2025.
