His innings, studded with nine boundaries and a strike rate of 141.86, saw him forge crucial partnerships with Washington Sundar (49 off 29) and Sherfane Rutherford (35 off 16), ultimately guiding the Titans to a comfortable win with 21 balls to spare.

After several promising starts, this innings marked Shubman Gill's first fifty of the ongoing IPL 2025. The GT captain now has a total of 146 runs across four innings, averaging an impressive 48.66.

That unbeaten knock marked Shubman Gill's 25th time crossing the 50-run mark in his IPL journey, a tally that includes four centuries and 21 half-centuries. Gill thus scripted history by becoming the IPL's youngest to achieve a quarter-century of 50-plus scores. Gill's IPL story began with KKR in 2018 when he was 19, contributing 10 half-centuries before his move to GT in 2022, where he's since added four centuries and 15 more half-centuries.
