Virat Kohli to Shane Watson: Players who have scored the most centuries in IPL history
Ahead of IPL's 18th edition, more than 100 centuries have been scored in the tournament's history. But RCB's Virat Kohli leads the list.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is just around the corner. T20 format is dominated by batters but scoring a century is a massive feat. Here is a list of batters with four or more centuries in their IPL career -

1. Royal Challengers Bengaluru's Virat Kohli is leading the list with 8 centuries from 244 innings. Kohli scored four centuries in the 2016 edition when he also set the record for runs in a season.

2. Gujarat Titans' new recruit Jos Buttler has scored seven centuries from 106 innings. In 2022, former Rajasthan Royals' player equalled Virat Kohli's record for most centuries in a single edition.

3. Chris Gayle aka self-proclaimed 'Universe Boss' has six centuries from 141 IPL innings. Gayle scored two centuries in IPL 2011. In the 2013 edition, he created the record for highest score (175 not out) in IPL history which is still unbroken.

4. Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill has scored four centuries from 100 innings. Gill scored three centuries in the 2023 edition. He is only behind Kohli on the list of most runs scored in a single season.

5. Delhi Capitals' new recruit KL Rahul has scored four IPL centuries as well. Rahul has played 132 IPL games so far. The former Lucknow Super Giants captain was roped in by DC for Rs 14 crore.

6. Former Australian all-rounder Shane Watson has four centuries from 141 innings. Watson made his IPL debut for Rajasthan Royals and was part of their title-winning team. He played for Royal Challengers Bengaluru before joining Chennai Super Kings. He won the IPL with CSK in 2018 and 2021.

7. Former Sunrisers Hyderabad captain David Warner has four centuries from 184 IPL games. Warner led Sunrisers Hyderabad to title win in 2016 edition. The former Australian opener went unsold in IPL 2025 mega auction.
