Yuvraj Singh lavished praise on Virat Kohli, saying the star batter is capable of achieving anything he sets his mind to. Yuvraj, who shared the dressing room with Kohli at the 2011 World Cup, spoke about the former RCB captain’s strong hunger for the game, even after achieving so much in his career.

“Virat Kohli can do anything," the legendary southpaw assured in the exclusive chat with Sports Tak.

Talking about Kohli’s performance in the IPL opener for Royal Challengers Bengaluru against Sunrisers Hyderabad, Yuvraj pointed out how impressive it was. Kohli scored an unbeaten half-century and guided his team to victory, even though he hadn’t played a T20 match for almost a year, as he now mainly plays ODIs for India.

Yuvraj said Kohli didn’t look out of touch at all and batted with complete confidence, showing no signs of rust despite the long gap.

“He came to play first IPL match after not playing a T20 for almost a year, and the way he batted, it didn’t look like he was rusty even for a single ball," the 44-year-old added.

He also highlighted Kohli’s unmatched commitment and passion for the game, saying that even after achieving everything, his hunger hasn’t gone away.

“There’s no comparison when it comes to his commitment. And a guy who is still this hungry after achieving everything can do anything, to be honest," Yuvraj asserted.

Kohli also played a key role in helping Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally win their first title, beating Punjab Kings in the final at Eden Gardens last year.

He continued that form in the opening match of the new season, scoring a quick half-century to give his team a strong start in front of fans at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.
