Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have appointed former India left-arm spinner Sridharan Sriram as their bowling coach for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. He will join an already experienced coaching staff led by head coach Stephen Fleming, batting coach Michael Hussey and fast-bowling consultant Eric Simmons.
The 49-year-old has been a part of several IPL franchises. His first stint was with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in 2010. In the following season, he joined Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals). He has been part of Punjab Kings (PBKS) as well. His most recent stint was with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in IPL 2023.
Sriram was also a part of Australia's coaching staff from 2016 to 2022. He has worked with Australia's ace off-spinner Nathan Lyon. In 2024, he joined Bangladesh as their technical consultant.
This season, he will be working with experienced pros Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Shreyas Gopal and Afghanistan's Noor Ahmad.
CSK will play their opening game of the season against Mumbai Indians (MI) on March 23 at MA Chidambaram Stadium.
