Australia’s star all-rounder Cameron Green has registered for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 mini-auction that is set to take place on December 15. Green’s name was missing in the mega auction as he had a back surgery which kept him out of action for months. Green is set to be on several franchises’ wishlist considering the amount of firepower with bat and ball he promises. 

Last time Green went into the auction, he was roped in for Rs 17.50 crore by Mumbai Indians (MI). In the next season, he was traded to Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

As many as 45 players have opted for a base price of Rs 2 crore. This list includes the likes of Steve Smith who went unsold in the mega auction. Recently released by their respective franchises, Ravi Bishnoi, Venkatesh Iyer, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Liam Livingstone and others have opted for highest base price as well.

Australia's wicketkeper-batter Josh Inglis has registered for the auction as well. Punjab Kings (PBKS) revealed that they released Inglis because he won't be available for the entirety of the season. It is yet to be seen whether a franchise is interested in roping in services of a player who may not be available for full season.

India - Ravi Bishnoi, Venkatesh Iyer.

Afghanistan - Mujeeb ur Rahman, Naveen-ul-Haq.

Australia - Sean Abott, Ashton Agar, Cooper Connolly, Jake Fraser-McGurk, Cameron Green, Josh Inglis, Steve Smith.

Bangladesh - Mustafizur Rahman.

England - Gus Atkinson, Tom Banton, Tom Curran, Liam Dawson, Ben Duckett, Dan Lawrence, Liam Livingstone, Tymal Mills, Jamie Smith.

New Zealand - Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Henry, Kyle Jamieson, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Will O'Rourke, Rachin Ravindra.

South Africa - Gerald Coetzee, David Miller, Lungi Ngidi, Anrich Nortje, Rilee Roussouw, Tabraiz Shamsi, David Wiese.

Sri Lanka - Wanindu Hasaranga, Matheesha Pathirana, Maheesh Theekshana.

West Indies - Jason Holder, Shai Hope, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph.

Long list of registered players

In total, as many as 1,355 players have registered for the auction. Bangladesh all-rounder who is banished from representing his country, Shakib Al Hasan has opted for a base price of Rs 1 crore.

Who will be the big spenders at IPL 2026 mini-auction?

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will enter the auction with the biggest purse. They have Rs 64.30 crore remaining in the purse. The second on the list is Chennai Super Kings (CSK) with Rs 43.40 crore left in the purse. The franchise which will do least amount of shopping is Mumbai Indians (MI). They have just one overseas spot to fill. The five-time IPL champions will enter the auction with Rs 2.75 crore in the purse.

A maximum number of 77 player slots are available including 31 overseas. In total franchises have a combined purse of Rs 237.55 crore.
