DC vs RCB Today Match Results: Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) notched a thrilling six-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash at the Arun Jaitley stadium on April 27. It was Virat Kohli's 51 and Krunal Pandya's unbeaten 73 which helped RCB chase down 163-run target. This win propelled RCB to top of the IPL 2025 points table with seventh win in the season. RCB also became the first team in the history of IPL history to notch six back-to-back away matches.

RCB rocket to top of the IPL 2025 points table after beating DC

RCB will next face Chennai Super Kings (CSK) on May 3 at the M Chinnaswamy stadium while DC will take on Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) on April 29 at the Arun Jaitley stadium.

Despite Virat Kohli registering his sixth half-century of the season, the spotlight of the night belonged to Pandya, who staged a remarkable recovery after a struggling start, finishing with an unbeaten 73 runs. This innings marked his second-highest score in the IPL since his debut in 2016. Ultimately, Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured a 6-wicket victory, putting pressure on Delhi Capitals to improve their performance quickly.

The pitch at the Kotla proved to be challenging for batting. After Delhi Capitals posted their lowest first-innings total since 2024, Royal Challengers Bengaluru also faced early setbacks in their chase. Their top three batsmen – debutant Jacob Bethell, impact substitute Devdutt Padikkal, and captain Rajat Patidar – were all dismissed within the powerplay, leaving Virat Kohli in a precarious situation, uncertain whether to play cautiously or aggressively.

Virat Kohli, Krunal Pandya anchor RCB's chase

Joining Kohli was Pandya, who endured a particularly slow start to his innings, scoring just 2 runs off his first 8 deliveries before laboriously reaching 25 off 27 balls with a four off Vipraj Nigam and a six against Dushmantha Chameera. Krunal struggled to find his timing, and his increasing frustration hinted at a possible 'retired out' situation.

However, the momentum shifted dramatically in the 13th over when the left-handed Pandya broke free, hitting consecutive sixes off Mukesh Kumar. He then raced to his first half-century of IPL 2025 in 38 deliveries. In the 16th over, Mitchell Starc created a chance, but it turned into disappointment for the bowler as Abhishek Porel dropped Pandya at deep mid-wicket when he was on 56.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli reached his sixth score of fifty or more this season in just ten innings. Yet, the focus remained on Pandya, who continued his aggressive assault on Mukesh and Chameera, bringing RCB closer to a comfortable victory. While the Sri Lankan pacer eventually dismissed Kohli in the 18th over, the game had largely slipped out of Delhi Capitals' grasp by that point. Tim David's quickfire cameo (19* off 5 balls) provided the finishing touches, handing Delhi Capitals their second defeat in their home ground.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar's heroics keep DC batters in check

Earlier, the RCB pace duo of Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Josh Hazlewood delivered exceptional bowling performances to keep DC batters in check. Bhuvneshwar Kumar spearheaded the attack, claiming three crucial wickets, while the Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood supported him effectively by dismissing two Delhi Capitals batsmen. Their disciplined bowling efforts played a key role in restricting Delhi Capitals to a total of 162 runs for the loss of eight wickets in their allotted 20 overs.

KL Rahul anchored the Delhi Capitals' innings, occupying the crease for 39 deliveries and scoring 41 runs, which included three boundaries. Faf du Plessis, making his return to the playing eleven, contributed 22 runs off 26 balls.

Abishek Porel provided an aggressive start to the Delhi Capitals' innings, scoring a quickfire 28 runs off just 11 deliveries, which included two fours and two sixes.

However, Delhi Capitals struggled to build partnerships in the middle overs, as Axar Patel (15 off 13) and Ashutosh Sharma (2 off 3) were dismissed without making significant contributions. Towards the end of the innings, Vipraj Nigam (12 off 6) and Tristan Stubbs (34 off 18) displayed some aggressive hitting, providing a late surge to the Delhi Capitals' total.
