Virat Kohli has refuted the 'chartered flight' demand rumour ahead of IPL

Reports were doing rounds that Kohli has demanded RCB for a chartered flight from London to India during IPL 2026

Former Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) batting juggernaut Virat Kohli addressed circulating rumors regarding his alleged list of demands for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. Various media reports had suggested that the star batter requested special chartered flight access between India and London to be made available throughout the tournament.

The speculation went further, claiming that Kohli informed the franchise of his intention to fly to London whenever a three-day gap occurred between matches. According to these reports, he allegedly planned to return to India only 24 hours before the team's next scheduled game.

RCB look to defend IPL title

RCB is set to kick off their campaign against Sunrisers Hyderabad on March 28. Following a historic milestone where Virat Kohli secured his first IPL title during his 18th season with the franchise, the legendary batter is entering the new season with high expectations. Fans and statisticians alike are bracing for another prolific run from the man in jersey number 18.

Kohli currently stands on the precipice of several historic milestones. With 8,661 runs across 267 matches—including eight centuries and 63 fifties, he is laser-focused on becoming the first player in IPL history to breach the 9,000-run mark. His loyalty to RCB also puts him in a unique position; having amassed 9,085 runs for the team across the IPL and the former Champions League T20, one standout season would make him the first player ever to score 10,000 runs for a single franchise in T20 cricket.

This pursuit of excellence follows a stellar previous season where Kohli proved his enduring class. He finished as RCB's leading run-scorer and the third-highest overall in the tournament, racking up 657 runs at an impressive average of 54.75 and a strike rate of 144.71, anchored by eight half-centuries.
