Rathi, who once again brought out the 'notebook' celebration after dismissing Naman Dhir, has been fined 50 per cent of his match fees for breaching the IPL Code of Conduct. The Level 1 offence comes under Article 2.5. In addition, he been handed two demerit points.
In total, he has three demerit points. He gave Punjab Kings (PBKS) batter a 'notebook celebration' send-off. Skipper Pant won't face suspension even if he repeats the offence
In the last season, Pant was fined for maintaining slow over-rate as well when he was captaining Delhi Capitals (DC). As a result, he was banned from a crucial match against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) which DC lost. They failed to make it to the playoffs as they had an inferior net run rate (NRR). However, as per the new rules, the captain won't face a one-game suspension in this season.
