Royal Challengers Bengaluru's (RCB) 18-year-long wait finally came to an end as they clinched their first-ever IPL title. RCB defeated Punjab Kings (PBKS) by six runs in the IPL 2025 final at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
Meanwhile, Gujarat Titans (GT) pacer Prasidh Krishna finished his IPL 2025 campaign with 25 wickets in 15 matches and became the Purple Cap holder for the season. The 29-year-old was fantastic for the Gujarat-based franchise throughout the season, picking up wickets on regular intervals during the side's matches.
Not only did Krishna pick up a massive number of scalps, he also maintained a decent economy rate of 8.27 for the season. Alongside him, two more GT bowlers were among the highest wicket-takers for the season. Left-arm spinner Sai Kishore took 19 wickets in 15 matches while Mohammed Siraj finished with 16 scalps in 15 matches.
Following these impressive bowling displays, Krishna also got called-up to the India squad that is set to tour England for a five-match Test series that is set to commence from June 20.
