Buttler played an unbeaten 97-run match-winning knock that helped GT to register their fifth win of the tournament.

"It's fantastic to bat with him and I get to learn so much watching him" said Sai Sudharsan in post match conference.

Sudharsan, who is currently the orange cap holder, said that the wicket was batting-friendly during the first six overs.

"The wicket was fantastic to bat on. The wicket was too good to bat on in the first six overs it was skidding nicely and coming on the bat and going off the bat at a good speed. The way the bowlers are bowling, if it's a really good ball the best way is to time the ball to get the most runs. I've been working on it in practice to time the ball to perfection. [Shot selection] I don't look for options, but react to what I get, but in preparation, I try to work on different areas to target" said Sudharsan.

Coming back to the match, after the impressive Prasidh Krishna-led (4/41) Gujarat pacers limited Delhi to 203/8. During the run chase of 204 runs, Shubman Gill was run out by Karun Nair for seven in five balls, which gave the GT a massive blow in their second over. GT was 14/1 in 1.4 overs. The home side paced their chase impeccably to reach 204/3 in 19.2 overs as Buttler played the protagonist role during his 54-ball innings.

GT will now face defending champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in their upcoming clash which will take place on April 21 at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
