Urvil Patel reflects on joint-fastest half-century
It was Urvil Patel's destructive knock of 65 runs off 23 balls which led CSK to cross the finish line while chasing 204 runs in the second innings. During his stay at the crease, Urvil managed to score joint-fastest 13-ball half-century.

Reacting to the feat achieved by him, Urvil revealed that the milestone was not on his mind while batting as he wanted to bat according to the situation. The star CSK batter revealed he was following the advice from the coach to maintain his base while hitting the ball.
“There was nothing in my mind, but I just wanted to bat according to the situation and the ball. The coach just told me to maintain a stable base and then hit; I did the same.
While adding further, Urvil revealed that skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad had warned him about the low bounce on the pitch and advised him to stay ready to hit.
Rutu said the wicket was low and to be ready for it. He didn't tell me much; he just let me play my game,” said Urvil Patel after the game.
Urvil Patel opens up on special note after comeback fifty
After reaching his whirlwind half-century, Urvil shared a poignant moment by pulling a handwritten note from his pocket. The message simply read, “Dad, this is for you,” serving as a public tribute to the man who has been his primary pillar of strength throughout his career. His father’s role was especially vital during the lean periods of Urvil's journey. While the young batter faced earlier failures and the pressures of professional cricket, his father remained a constant support system, providing the encouragement necessary to help him persevere and eventually achieve this record-breaking milestone.
"I was waiting for my first 50 in the IPL. And I was emotional because I scored 50 of just 13 balls. I was very emotional, especially for my father. I dedicated the 50 to him," Urvil concluded.
