Ultimately, KKR emerged victorious, acquiring Iyer for a staggering price that exceeded his base price by over 11 times.
Prior to the auction, KKR had retained six players, exhausting their Right-to-Match (RTM) options. As a result, the franchise had to pay a significant amount to retain Iyer, who made his IPL debut with KKR in 2021.
