Anshul Kamboj (1/20, 3 overs) and Noor Ahmad (0/13) bowled frugal spells for CSK, while Ravindra Jadeja (2/24, 3 overs) and Matheesha Pathirana (2/45) were among the wickets taken.

Ravi Bishnoi then gave CSK two big blows by dismissing Rahul Tripathi and Ravindra Jadeja. However, Shivam Dube held one end firmly and finished with an unbeaten knock of 43 runs off 37 balls. Later, Dhoni played a captaincy cameo of 26 runs off just 11 balls, which included four boundaries and one six. Dube fired the finishing shot and ensured that CSK win this match with 3 balls remaining. CSK has ended their five-match losing streak with this win.
