RCB vs RR Today Match Toss Update: Royal Challengers Bengaluru take on Rajasthan Royals as Riyan Parag won the toss and elected to bowl first in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 clash at the M Chinnaswamy stadium on April 24. While RCB didn't tinker with their playing XI, RR made one change to their fold. Maheesh Theekshana walked out of RR's playing XI and paved path for Fazalhaq Farooqi.
What did the captains say after the toss?
After winning the toss, RR's stand-in skipper Riyan Parag said:
"We will bowl first. The wicket looks a bit sticky and should get better later on. It's back to our ethics now, if we can give our 100 percent, the results will take care of themselves. Sanju bhai is recovering and hopefully he will be back soon. One change for us. Theekshana is out and Farooqi is in."
Meanwhile, RCB captain Rajat Patidar, after losing the toss, said:
"We would have loved to bowl first as well, the surface has been tricky and unpredictable this season and we will try to adapt as quickly as we can. We have to be good at shot-selection. We are going with the same team."

Pitch Report
"We are in the dead centre of the middle out here. 73 metres down the ground and 64 metres either side of the square. The surface looks a lot drier and the average first innings score this season has been 166. There has been something for the quicks, it's been a bit two-paced and extra bounce as well, the surface today looks much better though," Eoin Morgan and Simon Katich analysed the pitch.
Head-to-Head record
RCB and RR have locked horns with each other 33 times in IPL so far. While RCB have emerged victorious in 16 matches, RR have won on 14 occasions. Notably, three matches ended without a result.
