Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Gujarat Titans (GT) have strengthened their coaching staff ahead of the 19th edition of the cash-rich league by appointing former India wicketkeeper-batter Vijay Dahiya as their new assistant coach, joining a group that already features former Australian batting legend, Matthew Hayden.
Vijay Dahiya's experience
Dahiya brings a wealth of experience from both domestic and international cricket. The wicketkeeper batter represented India in 19 ODIs and 2 Tests, and guided Delhi to a Ranji Trophy title in 2007-08.
The Gujarat Titans have been one of the league’s most consistent teams since making their IPL debut in 2022. The Gujarat-based franchise reached the playoffs in three of its first four seasons and even won the title in its debut campaign.
