Story Highlights:

Chennai Super Kings opted to bowl first at Chepauk and retained the same playing XI for the clash.

LSG brought back Josh Inglis and included Avesh Khan in place of Mayank Yadav.

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the toss and invited Lucknow Super Giants to bat in their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 game at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, on Sunday 10. CSK went with the same side. Meanwhile LSG have made two changes.

What did the captains say at the toss?

CSK captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, after winning the toss, said:

"We will bowl first. The wicket was under covers and there was rain around. The pitch does behave differently in day games, but we need to adapt well and then restrict them to a low score. Pretty positive on the way the last 7-8 games have gone for us. It's been a good turnaround and we'll look to stay positive. We are playing the same team."

Meanwhile, after losing the toss LSG skipper Rishabh Pant, said:

"We would have bowled first as well. We're definitely trying to look at each and every match from here. But at the same time, we've got to be consistent and look to play good cricket. I think just looking to play good cricket as of now. We had our moments. We had our chances in a lot of games but we couldn't finish it up . And that's the learning for us - as we move forward in the tournament, that's the only thing, like I said in Mumbai that we're going to give our 200% regardless of every match. And we're trying to do that. We have two changes in the team. Josh Inglis comes in because he was injured in the last game, and Avesh comes in for Mayank."
