BCCI has tightened its monitoring of social media activity.

Latest development has now reached the camp of the CSK.

During the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) season, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has tightened its monitoring of social media activity, and the latest development has now reached the camp of the Chennai Super Kings (CSK).

CSK net bowler Jishan Adil recently revealed that the franchise management instructed him to remove bowling videos from social media that he had recorded during training sessions inside the team camp.

Adil had been regularly uploading clips of his bowling spells from the CSK nets, with several of those videos quickly gaining traction among fans online.

Jishan Adil reveals CSK management’s request

Taking to Instagram Stories, Adil explained that while the videos received overwhelming support and went viral within a short span, he was later asked by the management to take them down.

"Hi everyone, as you all know, I have been posting my bowling videos from the CSK camp and thanks to you all, they all got viral within a few days. Unfortunately, CSK management has asked me to remove the videos from my social media," Jishan Adil wrote.

The development comes at a time when the BCCI has increased vigilance over digital activity surrounding IPL teams, players and support staff.

According to reports, the board fears that behind-the-scenes content, reels and training footage could unintentionally expose team plans, dressing-room discussions or strategic information during the tournament.

BCCI increases monitoring of IPL-related content

The BCCI has already implemented stricter operational and anti-corruption measures for IPL 2026, including tighter rules for broadcasters, commentators and other personnel with access to restricted areas.

As per reports, guidelines were also circulated regarding the use of mobile phones and recording devices around players and dugouts.

Reports have further suggested that players’ family members and content creators associated with franchises have also been advised to avoid posting sensitive content during the tournament.

With IPL continuing to dominate the digital space, the BCCI appears determined to ensure that no strategic or confidential information from team camps becomes public through social media platforms.
