Sunrisers Hyderabad finally got back on track this season with a dominant 57-run win over Rajasthan Royals on Monday. The win was set up by a strong all-round effort. Ishan Kishan led the charge with the bat, while debutants Praful Hinge and Sakib Hussain starred with the ball, picking up four wickets each.

Kishan anchors SRH’s innings

Batting first, SRH recovered well after an early setback. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed for a golden duck by Jofra Archer, while Travis Head managed just 18.

Kishan then stepped in and turned things around. He played a brilliant knock of 91 runs off 44 balls, hitting 8 fours and 6 sixes. He built the innings and kept the scoring rate high.

He got good support from Heinrich Klaasen, who scored 40 off 26 balls. Nitish Kumar Reddy added a quick 28, while Salil Arora chipped in with an unbeaten 24 off just 13 balls.

Thanks to these contributions, SRH posted a strong total of 216 for 6.

Early collapse hurts Rajasthan

Chasing 217, Rajasthan had a nightmare start. Praful Hinge made an immediate impact on debut, picking up three wickets in the very first over. He dismissed Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel and Lhuan-dre Pretorius — all for ducks.

In the next over, Sakib Hussain added to the damage by removing Yashasvi Jaiswal for just 1. Within the first three overs, Rajasthan were struggling at 9 for 5, and the match had already slipped away from them.

Late fightback not enough

Despite the early collapse, Donovan Ferreira and Ravindra Jadeja tried to fight back with a 118-run partnership for the sixth wicket. Ferreira scored 69, while Jadeja added 45.

However, the target was too big, and Rajasthan eventually finished at 159 in 19 overs, falling well short.

Hinge shines on debut

Praful Hinge had a dream debut, finishing with impressive figures and making history by becoming the first bowler in IPL history to take three wickets in the opening over of a match. Along with him, Sakib Hussain also impressed with a four-wicket haul, as SRH’s bowling unit delivered after struggling in earlier games.
