Virat Kohli joins elite list for centuries in IPL chases

Kohli registered his third IPL hundred while batting second, drawing level with Jos Buttler for the most centuries in successful IPL chases.

He also became only the second batter in league history to score multiple centuries against two different IPL opponents, joining Buttler on the exclusive list.

The century against KKR was Kohli’s second IPL hundred against the franchise.

Kohli climbs historic IPL charts

During the knock, Virat Kohli also became the batter with the second-most runs against a single IPL opponent. His tally against KKR crossed 1100 runs, placing him alongside the biggest run accumulators against one franchise in IPL history.

The innings further saw Kohli equal Rohit Sharma for the most Player of the Match awards by an Indian in IPL history with 21.

Another major milestone came in the form of appearances, as Kohli played his 279th IPL match, becoming the most-capped player in tournament history, moving past both Rohit Sharma and MS Dhoni.
