Probable Playing XI for Both Teams plus Impact Player

Virat Kohli practised for 45 minutes on the eve of the match with a strapped ankle. Kohli is likely to play against LSG. However, it is yet to be seen whether he plays an impact player. On the other hand, Josh Hazlewood didn’t train and if he misses out, Jacob Duffy is set to retain his place. If Kohli is fit, RCB are unlikely to make any changes to the lineup. In case of a last-minute change, Devdutt Padikkal may get a promotion up the order. In that case, Venkatesh Iyer may play his second game for RCB.

RCB’s Predicted Playing XI: Phil Salt, Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar, Tim David, Jitesh Sharma, Romario Shepherd, Krunal Pandya, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rasikh Salam, Jacob Duffy, Suyash Sharma

On the other hand, LSG's fast-bowling stocks are replenished. Avesh Khan is highly likely to sit this one out, making way for either Mayank Yadav or Mohsin Khan. Dropping Prince Yadav will be a huge call as he has done fairly well for LSG. His only off day came against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) where he conceded 47 runs. Also, the team management is expected to continue backing Nicholas Pooran instead of giving Matthew Breetzke a chance.

LSG’s Predicted Playing XI: Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant, Ayush Badoni, Nicholas Pooran, Abdul Samad, Mukul Choudhary, George Linde/Shahbaz Ahmed, Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan/Mohsin Khan, Digvesh Singh Rathi, Prince Yadav/Mayank Yadav.

Head-to-Head Record Between RCB and LSG

RCB and LSG have locked horns six times so far. LSG have had a slight edge, winning four encounters. The last time RCB faced LSG, skipper Rishabh Pant scored a century but stand-in skipper Jitesh Sharma's 33-ball 85 helped his team chase down 228 with eight balls to spare.

Weather Forecast and Pitch Report

The two matches at M.Chinnaswamy Stadium have been high-scoring. It is expected to be a batting paradise again. Rain is likely to stay away from the game.
