Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have clarified a video that sparked debate after their six-wicket loss to Delhi Capitals (DC). The clip showed owner Sanjiv Goenka talking with captain Rishabh Pant and head coach Justin Langer, and fans wondered if the owner was scolding the team.

What were the speculations?

LSG had a tough game with the bat, being all out for just 141. In reply, Sameer Rizvi and Tristan Stubbs helped DC to an easy win with more than two overs to spare.

After the match, clips of Goenka chatting with Pant on the field went viral. Pant looked animated, and coach Langer was also seen in the discussion. Fans quickly compared it to the 2024 incident with Goenka and KL Rahul after LSG’s loss to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

LSG later shared the full, original video on their social media, showing that the conversation was light-hearted. Goenka appeared cheerful, and everyone was laughing together. The team clarified that it was just a friendly chat, not a scolding.

Coming back to the Lucknow Super Giants vs Delhi Capitals clash, Sameer Rizvi played a brilliant, unbeaten innings to lead Delhi Capitals to a comfortable six-wicket victory over Lucknow Super Giants in their IPL 2026 match.

Rizvi came in when Delhi was in trouble at 21 for 2 in the fourth over and took full control of the innings. He remained unbeaten on 70 from 47 balls, hitting five fours and four sixes, guiding his team past the target of 142 with 17 balls to spare.

Tristan Stubbs also played an important role, staying not out on 39 from 32 balls and building a solid partnership with Rizvi to see Delhi home.

Earlier, Delhi’s bowlers did a great job to restrict Lucknow to 141 in 18.4 overs. Fast bowlers Lungi Ngidi and T Natarajan were the stars with three wickets each, keeping constant pressure on the batters.

For Lucknow, Abdul Samad was their top scorer with 36 off 25 balls, while Mitchell Marsh added 35 from 28. Among the bowlers, Natarajan finished with 3 for 29, Ngidi picked up 3 for 27, and Kuldeep Yadav contributed with two important wickets.
