However, heartbreak struck when his lofted shot over short fine leg failed to clear the distance, traveling straight into the hands of Sunrisers fielder Smaran Ravichandran.

Uncapped Player Record: He now holds the record for the most runs by an uncapped player in a single IPL season, surpassing Yashasvi Jaiswal’s 2023 tally of 626 runs to reach 680 runs in 15 matches.

Fastest Playoff Fifty: By reaching his half-century in just 16 balls against SRH, he equaled Suresh Raina’s 2014 record for the fastest fifty in an IPL playoff or knockout match.
