Rajasthan Royals (RR) are playing against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) clash, which is being played on Tuesday, May 19 at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur. Winning the toss, RR stand-in captain Yashasvi Jaiswal chose to bowl first against the Rishabh Pant-led side.
Yash Raj Punja's beauty to dismiss Josh Inglis
Josh Inglis and Mitchell Marsh kicked off the first innings on a fiery note. The Australian wicketkeeper batter Josh Inglis was looking dangerous as he scored 60 off 29 balls, before Yash Raj Punja removed him in the ninth over on a wonderful delivery. However, Inglis managed to hit seven fours and three big sixes.
On the second delivery of the ninth over, Punja deceived Inglis with a flighted delivery, forcing him to swipe the ball over deep midwicket. However, the dip in the ball made him confused and got bowled. At the time of Inglis's dismissal LSG were at 109/1.
By the end of the first innings, LSG managed to post 220/5, with strong effort from Mitchell Marsh, who scored 96 runs off 57 balls. The right-handed batter smashed 11 fours and five sixes at a strike rate of 168.42. Towards the end, Rishabh Pant tried to provide some strong finish, scoring 35 runs off 23 balls hitting two fours and two sixes. It will be interesting to see if the RR batters can pull off the big run chase.
