Yuzvendra Chahal will feature for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025.

India ace spinner Yuzvendra Chahal has joined his Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Punjab Kings (PBKS) for the training camp ahead of the upcoming season of the tournament. Chahal, known for his humour, mimicked Pakistan ODI captain Mohammad Rizwan during the training session.

Chahal, who was a part of Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the last edition of the IPL, has been brought by PBKS for a whopping INR 18 crore in the mega auction for the upcoming edition of the tournament, was seen having fun with his teammates during a practice session. A video shared by PBKS social media is going viral where the leg spinner mimicked the Pakistan skipper's line, “Oh Yes, its a two.” He also teased his teammate Shashank Singh while walking up to the crease, "Darr gye kya (Are you afraid of me)?" before imitating Rizwan’s memorable phrase. Here is the clip.

Chahal holds a great record in the cash-rich league. In the last edition of the tournament, he picked up 18 wickets in 15 matches, but the Rajasthan-based franchise released him before the mega auction. He was a part of India's T20 World Cup 2024 winning squad but was unable to make it into the playing XI as the management was confident in the winning XI. He last featured for India in August 2023 in a T20I series against West Indies. The veteran star has been actively playing domestic cricket, taking 10 wickets in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy at an impeccable strike rate of 15.00.
