Story Highlights:

Rohit Sharma scored 38 runs in four matches of IPL 2025.

Mumbai Indians are currently ninth in IPL 2025 points table.

Former Australia cricketer Michael Clarke backed Mumbai Indians (MI) star batter Rohit Sharma who is currently struggling in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025. Rohit, who led India to ICC Champions Trophy triumph, managed to score just 38 runs in four outings of the cash-rich league.

Clarke feels that Rohit is just one good inning away from scoring a century in the IPL 2025. The MI star managed to score just one fifty-plus score in the last 12 innings in IPL and is currently facing a lot of criticism for his performance.

"I think Rohit's an absolute superstar. It's just a matter of time before he makes (a) hundred. I think it's going to take one decent innings. It might be a 40, it might be a 60. He'll get momentum and then, you know, you'll see the best of Rohit Sharma. I wouldn't be too concerned about his form,” Clarke was quoted as saying by PTI.

Clarker is confident that Rohit will get the momentum soon, and the world will again witness the best of him.

"He'll get momentum and then, you know, you'll see the best of Rohit Sharma. I wouldn't be too concerned about his form. We all have high expectations of the great players because they've been so successful over a long period of time that, yeah, you're allowed to miss out on a couple of games. But class is permanent,” he added.

Rohit's poor form is one of the main reasons behind MI's performance in IPL 2025, as the five-time champions haven't been able to get off to good starts. MI are currently on ninth in the points table, losing three matches out of five outings.

The Mumbai Indians are currently in Delhi for their fifth IPL 2025 clash against the  Delhi Capitals, which will take place at Arun Jaitely Stadium.
