Story Highlights:

Mitchell Marsh is one of the contenders for orange cap.

Marsh scored 81 in the previous game against KKR.

Marsh's replacement Himmat Singh was roped in for Rs 30 lakh.

Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) faced a setback as their in-form Australian batter Mitchell Marsh was not available for selection in the clash against Gujarat Titans (GT) at home on April 12. At the coin toss, captain Rishabh Pant revealed that Marsh's daughter is unwell. He has been replaced by Himmat Singh in the side.

"We are going to bowl first. The wicket looks good, Happy to win the last two matches. As a team, we talk about the process and the team is responding well now. Bowlers have done a really good job, we have to give credit to them. Instead of Mitchell Marsh, Himmat Singh comes in. His daughter is not well," Pant said after winning the toss.

Delhi's Himmat got to make his IPL debut. The 28-year-old has played 55 T20s and scored 917 runs from 47 innings at an average of 28.65, including five half-centuries. He was picked for Rs 30 lakh in the mega auction by DC. Himmat was earlier part of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) but did not get to make his IPL debut.
