Rajasthan Royals' (RR) season came to an end with a comprehensive victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK). RR are set to finish ninth on the points table until and unless CSK win big in their last league clash. More than a day after RR's campaign ended, their star opener Yashasvi Jaiswal shared a cryptic post which has led to speculations of him leaving the franchise. 

"Thank you, Rajasthan Royals, for everything. Not the season we hoped for, but continue to be grateful for our journey together. On to the next challenge 🇮🇳 and whatever the future brings YBJ 64," Jaiswal wrote in a post on Instagram with several pictures with teammates and head coach Rahul Dravid.

Jaiswal finishes as RR's top run-getter in IPL 2025

Jaiswal was RR's joint-most expensive retention at Rs 18 crore. After a rocky start, he regained form and finished as RR's highest run-scorer of the season. The southpaw scored 559 runs from 14 innings at an average of 43, including six half-centuries. He scored at an impressive strike rate of 159.71.

Jaiswal's next challenge

Now, Jaiswal will head to England as part of India A squad to prepare for a five-Test series against Ben Stokes-led side. The red-ball series against England Lions will begin on May 30. He will be playing under the captaincy of Abhimanyu Easwaran. RR teammates Dhruv Jurel and Tushar Deshpande will join him on the tour as well.

Jaiswal's record vs England

The 23-year-old is yet to play an international match on England soil. However, he has a fabulous record against England at home. From five Tests, he has scored 712 runs at an average of 89 against the English. He has two centuries including an unbeaten 214 and three fifties against England as well.
