Sarfaraz Khan becomes first batter to score double ton in Irani Cup.

Sarfaraz revealed that it will take atleast two to three months in Musheer's recovery.

Mumbai batter Sarfaraz Khan is currently in the form of his life. He smashed 222 runs in his outing against the Rest of India in the ongoing Irani Cup at Ekana Sports City Stadium in Lucknow. With his double ton, he made a promise to Mumbai teammates and his younger brother Musheer who was ruled out of the Irani Cup match against the Rest of India, because of a road accident.

Sarfaraz's 222 runs helped Mumbai to score a mammoth 537 all out on the third day of their match. With this knock, he became the first batter to score a double ton in history of Irani Cup. After his knock, the Mumbai batter dedicated his hundred to brother Musheer.

"Yes, it has been an emotional week for me. I had promised my family and teammates that if I am set, I will score 200 — a hundred for me and hundred for my brother (Musheer)," Sarfaraz told reporters at the end of day's play.

Sarfaraz reckoned that if Musheer is featured in the Irani Cup their father Naushad Khan would be prouder.

"If he (Musheer) had played in the match, abbu (father) would have been prouder. Unfortunately, he met with an accident. So, I thought I must somehow score a double ton in this match."

Sarfaraz, 26, said he has spoken to his brother who is seven years younger to the man who is once again knocking on the national selectors' doors. He revealed that Musheer Khan's recovery will take at least two to three months.

"Yeah, I spoke with him. He is fine but will take two to three months to recover," said Sarfaraz, who struck a half-century against England in the Dharamsala Test in March.

Musheer met with an accident while travelling to Lucknow along with his father and two others in an SUV. His car collided with a median and overturned, according to eyewitness accounts and a member of the Lucknow Police traffic directorate.
