Several legendary cricketers returned to field in the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023. Meanwhile, arch rivals Shoaib Akhtar and Harbhajan, who are also participating in the LLC 2023 for Asian Lions and India Maharajas respectively, yet again confronted each other.
Pakistan's legendary pacer Akhtar posted a video on his official YouTube channel where he shared interactions with Harbhajan from their playing days which also saw some funny banter session between the duo. In the video which is doing rounds on Internet, Akhtar shared an incident from the Faislabad Test during India's tour of Pakistan in the 2005-06 season. Harbhajan and Akhtar also reminisced their heated exchange during the Asia Cup match in 2010, following which the India spinner smashed Akhtar for a big six. India eventually won the match by 10 runs.
“He was bowling so good in Faislabad, then I hit him for two sixes!” Akhtar began as he recalled their past duels.
“I didn't say anything to you when you hit those two sixes. But when I hit a six against you, you said so many things!” Harbhajan replied.
“Should I tell everyone what you said? You actually started it,” Akhtar hit back at the Indian spinner, to which Harbhajan had a blunt response: “"No, I did not misbehave. I hit you for a six and you got angry ‘How can he hit me like that?".
However, Akhtar responded by saying: "No. You misbehaved after I hit two sixes off your bowling."
Akhtar then funnily hit Harbhajan, to which Harbhajan hilariously said, “When he can't win with words, he starts hitting people.”
