Ravindra Jadeja and Sanjay Manjrekar seem to have a love-hate relationship. After the "bits and pieces player" and "verbal diarrhoea" exchange, all seems to be well between the two. On September 29, Jadeja posted a photo of Manjrekar doing post-match presentation during the ongoing Legends League Cricket (LLC) with the caption – “Watching my dear friend on screen”.

In Asia Cup 2022 when Ravindra Jadeja was adjudged 'Player of the match' for his all-round performance against Pakistan, Manjrekar asked, "First question - You are ok to talk to me? Right, Jaddu?" to which the southpaw replied "Yeah, yeah (laughs). Absolutely.”

Reacting to Jadeja's tweet, the former India cricketer, who played 37 Tests and 74 ODIs for the country, came up with a subtle reply. Quoting Jajde'a tweet, Manjrekar wrote, "Ha ha… and your dear friend looking forward to seeing you on the field soon."

The quarrel between the two dates back to World Cup 2019 when Manjrekar harshly criticised Jadeja as he said, “I am not a big fan of bits and pieces players which Jadeja is at this point of his career in 50-over cricket. In Test matches, he is a pure bowler. But in 50-over cricket, I would rather have a batsman and a spinner.”

The criticism prompted a reply from Jadeja as he tweeted, “Still i have played twice the number of matches you have played and i m still playing. Learn to respect ppl who have achieved.i have heard enough of your verbal diarrhoea.”

Jadeja replied to Manjrekar with his bat as well. In the World Cup 2019 semi-final clash against New Zealand, Jadeja revived the run chase with his 59-ball 77. His half-century celebrations were directed towards the commentary box as well.

Currently, Jadeja is doing his rehabilitation after a successful knee surgery that led to his early exit from Asia Cup and him getting ruled out of upcoming T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia. Jadeja has been replaced by Axar Patel, who was earlier a part of the standby players.
