Mahedi premeditates as he skips down the track and swings across the line. The ball goes behind and it is taken by the keeper, Kusal Mendis. The UltraEdge shows a spike, confirming the outside edge. A shot that could have been avoided and Mahedi Hasan has paid the price. Shamim throws his bat in anger at the other end. Bangladesh still need 1 run with 2 balls left.

Bangladesh get over the line in a nervy fashion! Shamim Hossain was gone had the throw hit. On a back of a length from around the wicket, outside off. Nasum waits back and taps the ball on its head. Directs it towards the man at gully and he is called through for a single by Hossain. The ball goes straight to the gully fielder, who collects it calmly and has a shy at the batting end but misses. Hossain leaps in delight after completing the winning run.

Pace on, very full, just outside the off stump. Tawhid goes deep in the crease and whips it to the left of deep mid-wicket. Hridoy is keen on the second run but the fielder in the deep is quick to get to the ball and release the throw. The batters are kept down to a single.

Tight single! Dushmantha Chameera switches to around the wicket and serves a full ball at 141.4 kph, outside off. Hossain cracks the drive but it goes straight to extra cover. Charith Asalanka picks the ball up and has a shy at the bowling end but misses. Shamim gets home with a dive.

OUT! PLUMB IN FRONT! Review taken by Tawhid Hridoy but this looks like a review more in hope than anything else. Chameera attempts the yorker but ends up serving a thigh-high full toss, on middle and leg. Tawhid stays deep in the crease and has a hack across the line. The ball goes past the inside edge and hits Tawhid on the back leg. The UltraEdge shows no bat and it is three reds on Ball Tracking with the ball hitting the leg stump. Hridoy admonishes himself as he won't be there till the end. Sri Lanka have a glimmer of hope. 10 needed off 9 for Bangladesh.

FOUR! In the gap! Dushmantha Chameera pays the price this time. Dushmantha gets the yorker wrong and it ends up being a full toss, on the pads. Ali brings his wrists into play and whips it to the right of the diving long on fielder for a boundary. Bangladesh require 6 off 8 balls.

Chameera executes the yorker to perfection, on middle, Ali squeezes it out in front of long on for a single.

Direct hit! On a back of a length, on middle, Shamim climbs into the pull shot and picks the bones out of it. Hits it straight to mid-wicket where the fielder collects it on the bounce. Ali sets off for a run before being sent back. There is a direct hit at the bowling end but Jaker is home by then. FOUR! Width offered and Shamim Hossain cashes in! Nuwan goes into the wicket and takes pace off. Ends up offering width and this sits up to be hit. FIFTY FOR TAWHID! Superb knock from Hridoy and he will look to bat through to take his side home. Pushed through, on off, Hridoy goes on the back foot and taps it wide of cover for a single to get to his fifth half-century in T20Is. Just a thumbs up from Tawhid towards the dressing room.

Hridoy fails to get the bat out of the way quickly and the ball deflects off his bat towards mid-wicket. Shamim sets off for the run as soon as he hits and is more than halfway through. He is sent back and the ball is picked up by Dunith Wellalage at mid-wicket. Dunith turns around and fires in a throw at the batting end but Hossain gets home with a dive. It would have been interesting had the throw hit.

OUT! IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! That is the wicket Sri Lanka was looking for, and look who has provided it! Wanindu Hasaranga bowls it flat and fuller, just outside off. Saif Hassan gets down on his one knee to heave it toward deep mid-wicket but gets it all wrong. The ball catches the top edge and balloons toward the short third man fielder. The catch is not as easy as it looks, as the ball is swirling in the air, but Dunith Wellalage keeps his composure and takes the catch close to his chest.

SIX! Excellent wristwork! Nuwan slips a full ball on the pads. Saif's head falls over to the off side as he looks to whip it away. Lifts his back leg whilst playing the pick-up shot and deposits it over deep mid-wicket for a six.

Beaten! This is pace on and it skids through, outside off. Saif looks to run it down but is beaten for pace.
